Special sessions

The "Call for Special Sessions" will be an important part of INTED2023 since its objective is to include thematic sessions in the Technical Program that will add value to the conference. The special sessions should include thought provoking presentations which introduce novel ideas and experiences followed by discussions with the audience.
We invite you to send any proposals you may have for a special session at INTED2023 to our Program Committee. Contact details are below. The deadline for submission is EXTENDED: December 1st, 2022.

Format

• Sessions last 60 to 90 minutes.
• Each session should have between 4 and 6 oral presentations.
• Each presentation should last a maximum of 15 minutes.
• The session can include active group discussions introduced by the moderators.

How to propose a Special Session

To propose a Special Session, you should send the following information to inted2023@iated.org before EXTENDED: December 1st, 2022.

1. General session details:
   • Session title
   • A brief summary of the session contents describing the potential impact of the proposed session (maximum 3500 characters)
   • Who your target audience is
   • Topic area (please choose one from the topic list)
   • Name, address and affiliations of the session's organizers (one or two people)
2. Abstracts details:
   • List of abstracts titles and IDs (from 4 to 6 for an oral session). Please note that all proposed abstracts should be submitted online through the online application form.

After having received your session proposal, it will be evaluated, and you will receive an acceptance/rejection notification by email on December 20th, 2022.

Review criteria

Sessions will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

• Quality of the contents
• Diversity of speakers and institutions involved
• How innovative it is
• Relevance of the topic

Paper submission

Please note that after your session has been accepted, authors contributing to a special session should submit their final paper using the standard procedure of the online application form.

Author registration

If your session is accepted, presenting authors should register and confirm their attendance before January 12th, 2023 (author registration deadline). If authors are not registered by the deadline, the session will not be included in the Conference Program.

The organisers of the special session are expected to attend the conference and chair the session.

A minimum of 4 authors per special session must register.
