The implementation of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), in Spain is a challenge that needs to develop new activities favoring the development of competencies. We propose an activity that implies two disciplines (Social and Personality Psychology) to develop cognitive competencies of intervention, increasing the capability of integrate common knowledge and to enhance motivation and values competencies, increasing the level of commitment and motivation, by means of a participation in an empirical research. 57 students of the first course of Psychology participated in this study (13 male and 44 female) representative of the gender distribution in class. Pre- and post- assessment of the experience show that students enhanced their level of commitment and performance, although the impact over the performance was to be discussed.
