Every teacher has considerable freedom to create a learning power culture in their classroom. In this workshop, we will look at some of the aspects of this culture, and explore the small but critical changes that together have a big impact. These include making it safe for trial and error; creating challenging activities; building students' capacity to self-regulate challenge; training students' productive discussion habits; using the vocabulary of powerful learning; and arranging the room to encourage independence and responsibility.
