Abstract:
The educational landscape has shifted due to the ramifications of lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic. Educators have been thrown into a complex situation where they are not only required to apply new teaching methods and support their students’ learning, but also master a range of digital technologies while thinking about formative and summative assessment and so much more. Teachers are overwhelmed and may feel they have inadequate technology skills and insufficient support for rethinking and redesigning their pedagogical practices.

This talk aims to address the teaching challenges that we are currently dealing with by demonstrating customizable student centered learning activities that can be implemented in the face to face or online classroom. The discussion will explore the pedagogical implications of the technology enhanced lessons and how they serve to foster collaboration and student engagement. Participants will receive access to templates that will enable them to create their own engaging student centered activities.
