Abstract:
Theory of gaining knowledge in mathematics education describe stages in the understanding of notions during the teaching process. If the teacher respects these stages, then the ability of pupils to understand and to use mathematics notion in practice is bigger. The theory will be briefly described, and it will be used in the concrete examples suitable for the teaching practise during the mathematics lessons. To better understand mathematical notions and relationships between them, teachers can also use digital technologies. At present, it is most acceptable and motivating for students to use different types of the educational software. It is also important to use this potential for educational purposes combined with good applications and a suitable teaching methodology. One of the great applications is GeoGebra, which also has a significant use for visualization.

In our contribution, we will demonstrate some examples for supporting visualisation and understanding of mathematics notions by pupils. Another group of examples were devoted also for supporting of pupils´ creativity and flexibility in pupils´ thinking. Learning activities with pupils will be discussed.
