Abstract:
The article is devoted to the issue that has not lost its relevance for a decade - the formation of the linguistic and cultural competence of foreign students and the integration of the pedagogical model in the educational process which would contribute to the achievement of the goal. The authors of the article provide a brief overview of the most typical structural components of such a model described in the works of methodologists and teachers of Russian as a Foreign language, and also offer their own version of the integrative model for the formation of the linguistic and cultural competence of foreign students of natural sciences and technical specialties. The proposed integrative model for the formation of linguistic and cultural competence of foreign students implemented as a crosscutting theme of the basic directions of teaching Russian as a foreign language: general language, scientific style of speech, the principles of working with text and cultural linguistics. The proposed integrative model was implemented at the Russian Language Department of the Engineering Academy of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.
