The knowledge workers won’t to share their knowledge because of dynamic competitive environment. For organisations these workers´ values namely consist in it is known about them, what ideas, counsels, knowledge and experience they helped to their colleagues or to their organisations at problem solving. They lose their value step by step if they share knowledge. The reason is that their collaborators may learn from them and may acquire their knowledge. In addition, there is a risk that the collaborators add to workers´ knowledge their own one and so they become for the organisation more useful and needed, than the knowledge workers are themselves. Nevertheless, reasons for knowledge sharing exist – e.g. reciprocity, reputation or altruism. In addition, the organisation can support knowledge sharing by finding some stimulative elements for knowledge workers. This report just deals with reasons for knowledge sharing and with possible stimulative ways and means for it. In the first part, authors define knowledge concept and knowledge worker. In the second part, they analyse individual reasons for knowledge transfer and factors that support knowledge sharing in the organisation.
