THE HUMAN RESOURCES PROGRAMME OF GALICIAN RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION PLAN: WOMEN'S PARTICIPATION IN RESEARCH CAREER

The Law 12/1993, on August 6, Building Research and Technological Development of Galicia assumed primary purpose as “the promotion of scientific research, technological innovation, standardization and certification necessary to accelerate the integration of Galicia in European market”, in addition to promoting the relationship between research institutions and sectors involved in economic development and productive.
Under this rule, it was created the Galician Plan for Research and Technological Development (now Galician Research, Development and Technological Innovation Plan-INCITE). Its purpose is “coordination of resources, promotion of research, technological development and its eventual convergence with state plans and bilateral or multilateral programmes of autonomous communities”.
The Galician Research, Development and Technological Innovation Plan 2006-2010 is divided into three types of programmes: horizontal programmes, general programmes and sectoral programmes. In turn, within the horizontal programmes include: human resources agenda, program articulation system Galician innovation and programme communication and social awareness.
In this work, we focus our attention on the Program of Human Resources, which transverse axis is set in a context that promotes equal opportunities between men and women, such as establishing standards European policies on the construction of the European Research Area. This premise is essential to harness the potential of women researchers, improving quality and innovation, bringing research to society and promote women's participation in scientific research.
Our contribution will be built around the comparative analysis of the resolutions of the Programme for Human Resources calls for the years 2006 and 2007, analyzing the actions listed below:
- María Barbeito Programme
- Ángeles Alvariño Programme
- Isidro Parga Pondal Programme
- Lucas Labrada Programme
- Isabel Barreto Program
- Incentive Programme of incorporation and intensification of research activity (I3 Programme)
To do so, the study will focus on the interrelationship of the following variables: gender, area of knowledge and university of university system of Galicia or public or private body which male and female researchers are attached.
