This project describes the experiences gained from applying new learning innovations in CNC training. The evolution of CNC machine technology and continuous developments in CNC programming, produce an increasing demand for an effective, user-friendly and innovative training approach in CNC technology. An International consortium, including academic partners from 3 European countries was initiated, aimed on this target. The main result of this effort was the development of Virtual Training Center for CNC Training. In order to achieve the maximum possible impact, this Virtual Center was based on 2 major tasks: The design of a well structured International Curriculum for CNC training and the implementation of this curriculum in an innovative Virtual Trainning Center. The major objective was to improve the qualifications and competences of the trainees, with an innovative and user friendly method. The experiences and knowledge gained during the implementation of this Centre can be used in developing and improving other training programmes in particular in the area of new information technology applications in related sectors.
