THE MONOPOLY OF KNOWLEDGE AS A MENACE OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES ASSERTION IN BUSINESS COMPANIES

The new term: The Monopoly of Knowledge started to detect in the literature in the Czech Republic. This term is the main menace for Knowledge Management principles. It is the opposite of knowledge sharing and the synonym for privacy of the knowledge. The main principle of Knowledge Management is to share knowledge among colleagues, friends, and co-workers. The Monopoly of Knowledge means to keep the knowledge for oneself and to use the knowledge in the right time and to have a monopoly in the specific area. The reason of the monopoly of knowledge is very difficult to identify. We can say that human has three types of intelligence or knowledge of individual competence, which are Professional Efficiency Pillar, Practical Skills Pillar and Social Maturity Pillar. The critical point for knowledge sharing is the pillar of Social Maturity because it depends on personal skills if the human would like to share new knowledge or not. The main aim of this article is to identify: “How can we help managers to acquire and share knowledge which is necessary for the operational activity in firm, in order to guarantee harmony between the organisational and national cultures of knowledge management”. This article will contain the results of quantitative and qualitative research in the above mentioned companies in area of knowledge management principles. It will also recommend certain suggestions in the area of companies´ business activities.
