THE PROFESSIONAL IMPROVEMENT OF THE TEACHER AS A LEADER IS ONE OF THE POSSIBILITIES OF THE EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

A world changes quickly, the important discoveries are done and still there are important changes in the new spheres of our life, new technologies are introduced, the new solutions appear. We cannot expect, that in these circumstances the educational system will operate under the before created principles, to teach students facts and skills of work which are collected for many years. Both knowledge and skills of work become out of date quickly. It is necessary to think over organization of educational process, to create it according to the modern requirements. It is dictated by changes, that touches a whole world which in the last ten years has become constantly more mutually interconnected and “less than”. From one side it is possible to say, that school is touched by world problems, from other side school has to be able to form a bridge between local public and world.
Decreasing the amount of students, increases actuality of concept “competition” in the educational management, that is why the competition has strength, what orders every organization to operate so, that service, product would be the best, the most qualitative, thereby obtaining the gratitude from the recipients of service or product, which in business means profit, thereby also not losing the place in the market.
The teacher as the leader of lower level has to have well – rounded knowledge, it is necessary to know an educational policy, guidance of new technology at work, knowledge in the structure of organization, in sociology, in rights, that it is possible to organize professionally and to direct educational work in the lessons using various teaching methods connection with using teaching aids. Researches show, that teachers in Latvia not always use all resources, that the process of educating students would be modern and exciting for them.
