THE PROFESSION OF “PRE-PRIMARY EDUCATION TEACHER” AND “PRIMARY EDUCATION TEACHER” WITHIN DYNAMIC CONCEPT

The paper provides the aim of the basic research project, which will be solved under the professional leadership of the solver doc. PhDr. B. Kasácová, CSc. during the years 2008-2010 by the solving team consisting of PF UMB (Faculty of Education at Matej Bel University) employees in cooperation with their colleagues from partnership universities. Colleagues from Pedagogical Faculty of the University of Ostrava (Czech Republic) and Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz will be actively participating in the research.
The project is focusing on the basic research of professional activities of the pre-primary and primary education teacher under the conditions of the real-life education practice of the pre-primary and primary education. The prime aim of this project is to confront the academic pedeutologic thinking with the very concrete, practical concept of what the profession of teacher in the primary education is – thus in terms of the international terminology the teacher in pre-school education (ISCED 0) and elementary education (ISCED 1). Results will be utilizable for the development of pedeutological theory, for creating educational policy objectives, formation of teaching profession standards and for the management of teaching resources at schools. Last but no least, the results will be used for innovation and increasing efficiency for the preparation of teachers at universities.
In their paper, the authors present theoretical fundaments of the examined problems not only in the local concept limited to Slovakia, but bring it onto the international level. They focus on the theoretical analysis of the examined issues, introduce planned methodology of the research aim, present specified objectives as well as expected project output. From the pedagogical point of view the base fundament is the theory of teaching profession – pedeutology. One of the primary outcomes of the project will be the professiography and professiogram of pre-primary and primary education teacher.
