Research Problem, Justification and Objective
In today’s world of knowledge economy, business environment is being characterized by hyper competition. There is no doubt that achievement of a sustainable competitive advantage and more importantly thriving at this wide and evolving landscape are attained only through utilization of organizational knowledge continuously and effectively. Failure in this endeavor means early extinction or at best, being acquired or devoured by a giant who has properly applied his knowledge-based recourses. Innovation and creativity from one side and analysis of competitors intelligently and timely from another side create a useful framework for companies to excel at business under these circumstances. This framework is strategically designed to enable organizations to reap a comprehensive bundle of knowledge and then provide a capacity for them to deploy this knowledge across all business levels in order to streamline a smooth flow of performance and operation and ultimately outperform rivals..Arguably, by embracing this framework any given organization is subsequently equipped to utilize its knowledge resources strategically and being able to make appropriate responses and decisions timely and intelligently. Therefore, all entities regardless of size and main competencies will be enabled and qualified to set strategies and also corresponding policies and tactics in a more effective and competitive way. This can be called organizational strategic intelligence.

This is vividly understandable that, strategic intelligence revolves around organizational knowledge and the effectiveness of this tool is heavily relied on sufficient knowledge resources, an organization holds. The only way to keep this strategic instrument effective is to update our knowledge inventory and to update knowledge bursary means to learn .Because learning is widely defied as the process of acquiring knowledge and developing memory to make better decisions and take better actions or synoptically perform or behave intelligently. In spite of this logical flow, business literature lacks an intense research covering this area. Therefore the main objective of this research is to bridge this gap through development of a conceptual and analytical framework based on theoretical findings. We then illustrate this framework through case study of some enterprises in Malaysia and finalize our research with managerial implications of this research. This research study is basically an explanatory study based on literature survey and relevant observations on Malaysian enterprises.
