This paper aimed to train in-service art education teachers in the preparatory stage in Egypt on how to plan lessons for preventive teaching in the classroom. This was to enact a democratic environment by strategies that required effective management and processes that support democracy through pupils' interactive behavior. The training program is of value particularly that it departs from using heritage and cultural environment of the Egyptian community in fine arts and establishing dialogue with the pupils regarding belongingness.
Participants of the training program were a sample of 10 in-service art education teachers in one of the governorates in Egypt who had at least three years of teaching experience. The training program lasted for 15 hours where the results show a significant impact on participants' sense of belongingness and decision making which helps solve problems during teaching art. The study concluded with implications and suggestions for future studies in the field of teaching art.
