DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLICATION OF NEW EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES IN ACADEMIC AND EXTENDED EDUCATION

In the globalizing world the growing number of people got the basic education, and then during the whole life are developing and training to acquire new working skills and ensure professional competency. The widening demand in educational services generates the necessity in the provision of quality educational services accessible to everyone at any time and any place. This challenge could not be resolved in frames of traditional approaches, the solution is provided by the usage of New Educational Technologies.
New Educational Technologies is a common term denominating a set of special technological, technical, methodological and organizational means, which are implemented in forms of E-learning and Online learning, featured by the usage of structured teaching materials, including case-packages, learning units and IMS components, by the implication of automated knowledge control, as well as by the usage of technologies of realization of teaching materials including Computer design, Hypertext, Multimedia and Interactivity.
The efficient implementation of New Educational Technologies is possible in appropriate environmental conditions which include pedagogical and technological training of the authors of the courses and instructors as well as availability of some Resource center to support the training and teaching materials preparation.

The State Engineering University of Armenia and the Agency of National Survey for Seismic Protection are offering academic and extended educational services based on the wide implication of New Educational Technologies.

Functionality of developed software and technological means of e-learning and online teaching, technologies of realization of teaching materials, relevant methodological materials and organizational issues will be described in the article and during presentation to share accumulated experience in implementation of New Educational Technologies.
