PRINCIPLES OF USING EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE IN CLASSROOMS – A PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH

This paper discusses ways in which computers and software should be used in order to achieve effective instruction in classes. The reader is introduced to the context of using (CBI) Computer Based Instruction process and the way that this process is understood. A presentation of the framework and the levels of skills in using CBI followed by principles of using are presented. The advantages and disadvantages in using CBI are analyzed. Analysis of CBI from constructivist and multiple intelligences theories are also presented. Comparisons between traditional and CBI are highlighted. In the end, successful and non-recommendable cases in CBI and final recommendations will be presented.
