The MedtitopEU project www.meditopeu.com has been launched with funding from the Leonardo program with the specific aim of addressing up-to-date and effective training for health care professionals.
Our goals are the identification, development, and promotion of e-learning in continuing education utilized by nurses and physicians in their maintenance of competence. In the MeditopEU project we transferred the innovation from the previous project, “Promotion of Advanced Educational Innovations for training of Paediatrics, www.peditop.com, which has been awarded with HELSINKI AWARD. Further we elaborated new Internet based video-picture-animation illustrated interactive on-line courses for life-long learning and CME for nurses and medical doctors.
E-learning is not yet fully absorbed into education and training systems. We make efforts to integrate E-learning in the vocational training system of healthcare professionals in Hungary and to prove that E-learning has real potential to promote change in education. Seven on line courses at www.meditopEU.com are already accredited in the Hungarian institutional vocational training system and we make further steps to integrate other teaching material in the continuous medical education (CME) in Hungary. The MeditopEU project provides several possibilities for e-learning for the following target groups: Nurses, Internists, Paediatricians, General practitioners, Haematologists, Immunologists, Oto-rhino-laryngologists, Medical students.
