The present work is focused on the importance of joining the efforts between rigorous scientific research and valid industrial solutions. This coexistence is not common on many industrial sectors because in many cases, the depth study of specific aspects from a scientific point of view do not meet with the industrial objectives, which use to seek a direct and rapid solution of the daily problems. Therefore, the work focuses on the motivation and guidelines that have resulted in a series of research projects involved in the manufacturing sectors and framed in industrial projects, but at the same time have resulted in post-graduate degree and PhD degree of many students. The paper concludes with a series of specific experiences where combination of industrial and scientific interests has been achieved.
