TRANSFORMING LEARNING EXPERIENCES BY PERSONALISATION OF EDUCATION

In the evolving landscape of education, personalisation has emerged as a critical paradigm aimed at meeting the diverse needs, preferences, and learning paces of individual students. As universities and educational institutions strive to enhance engagement and academic outcomes, tailored learning experiences are increasingly recognised as essential. The EADTU Task Force on Personalisation of Education (TF-PEd) was established to advance this mission by fostering collaboration, sharing best practices, and promoting innovation among member institutions. The task force explored a range of approaches—spanning institutional strategies, technology-enabled solutions, learning analytics, and pedagogical innovations—to support personalised learning. Its key objectives include understanding learner profiles, supporting institutional implementation of personalisation strategies, developing reference models, and evaluating the scalability of such initiatives.

The report will be launched in October 2025 covering the following topics:
- Personalisation in the context of Open, Online and Flexible Education.
- Institutional strategies, models, and policies.
- Technology and tools supporting Personalisation.
- Allocation of tasks and responsibilities.
- Curriculum design for personalisation.
- Ethical consideration in Personalisation.

TF-PEd is also seeking to establish a sustained network for research, policy exchange, and project collaboration on personalisation of education.
