Due to increasing demand for training opportunities, this study proposes "TrainOman: A User-Centered Platform for National Training Opportunities." The platform aims to be one point of service that will easily and effectively connect all students in Oman, with the relevant and needed training opportunities offered through third-party institutions. The user interface is based on user-centered design principles that will make the platform more usable and accessible to a wider audience , allowing for skills development, while also enabling the national workforce.
This project outlines the design and creation of TrainOman A user-centered web-based tool, which connects students and graduates in Oman with available national training opportunities. The project specifically aims to address the pain points for many people when trying to search for relevant, useful, and importantly credible training opportunities. The user can register for the platform, browse training opportunities, submit their application, and track their application within the same user-friendly platform through their personal login. The employers and institutions providing training can map out and monitor their training programmed from the same system. We used the incremental model for the build of the platform, and we used some tools that included Visual Studio Code, MySQL, XAMPP. In summary, this project demonstrates our experience and skills in full-stack development, teamwork, problem solving and delivering a solution for Oman vision 2040.
