This works offers an educational experience aimed to developing emotional connections with the environment, through the implementation of workshops for young and elder people, which its main goal was to strengthen empathy and environmental consciousness by sensitive and participative pedagogical strategies.
The methodology followed included the application of diagnostic surveys before and after the workshops took place, in order to assess the learning impact. The sessions included a variety of teaching materials, such as stories with environmental topics, educational infographics, and board games adapted to each age group context. These tools allowed to transmit scientific information and boost the emotional reflection over the human activities and their effect on the ecosystems, through the creation of inclusive spaces, without the consideration of the educational background of the participants.
The results show a significant increase in environmental knowledge and willingness to change their daily habits, specially the elder people, who expressed to feel important and included in the learning process. The emotional dimension played a crucial role, by promoting active involvement, empathy and environmental connection.
