Training in sustainability and green skills in the textile, footwear, clothing, and leather (TCFL) sectors faces the challenge of transforming a traditional industrial ecosystem by updating knowledge and skills, especially among the most vulnerable groups. The European project GREEN-LIFT develops new training strategies to support the ecological transition of the textile, clothing, footwear, and leather sectors through programs tailored to women, NEET youth, and workers in transition.

This project focuses on the creation of practical training labs and the implementation of flexible and personalized educational methodologies through the development of an online course. Both training tools integrate ecological competencies, professional development and psychosocial support networks, promoting sustainability, circular design, waste management, and community resilience.

These activities enable more inclusive and innovative training, strengthening the connection between the educational and industrial sectors and facilitating employability and professional growth within the textile sector. The GREEN-LIFT project thus contributes to the development of a European model of cooperation for the green transition and lifelong learning in the TCFL field.
