In an increasingly interconnected and innovation-oriented world, Higher Education must constantly evolve to prepare students to face the challenges and opportunities presented by these changing times. To achieve this, it is essential that educational institutions foster an interdisciplinary approach that encompasses the areas of Data Science, Physics, Engineering, Graphic Design, and other STEAM disciplines. In this context, the "STEAM Learning Journeys" project aims to transform education at the European University through the implementation of Learning Journeys. These are cross-curricular academic trips that serve as fundamental tools for training highly skilled STEAM professionals, committed to their environment and with a clear vision of it. The entire project consists of four short trips of 4-5 days each, carried out during each of the academic years of a university degree.

Given the transdisciplinary nature of this project, numerous faculty members were involved. Professors of different fields of knowledge actively participated in the various phases of the project: destination selection, itinerary design, visit planning, equipment reservations, student support, etc.

In this context, the project began last academic year (23/24) travelling to Toulouse to learn about its powerful technology and aerospace industry. It continued this academic year (24/25) visiting Poland (Warsaw and Krakow). This nation has been the birthplace of great scientists such as Nicolaus Copernicus and Marie Curie, as well as important figures in recent history such as Oskar Schindler. These trips not only address several pillars of the academic model: Integrated Curriculum, One World, and Transdisciplinarity, but also integrate various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The results obtained from this experience are vast and go beyond purely academic:
- Strengthening of the ethical values of professional practice.
- Raising awareness among students of their social and professional realities.
- Development of new skills and strengthening existing ones: teamwork, planning and time management, independent learning, linguistic competence in a foreign language, critical thinking, working in transdisciplinary environments to achieve common goals.
- Visits to relevant organizations and institutions that will impact their professional future.
- Sense of belonging to European University.
- Holistic understanding of their profession by integrating knowledge and skills, as well as interrelating concepts and ideas that allow go beyond the discipline or subject.
- Integration and work on the SDGs beyond the classroom: Quality Education, Gender Equality, Industry and Innovation, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
- Creation of experiences that shape the students from a human and social perspective.

In summary, this experience contributes to integral formation of the students.
