PROMOTING CULTURAL SENSITIVITY IN MULTINATIONAL CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENTS

In today’s closely interrelated world, classrooms have turned into multicultural areas where students from various backgrounds learn side by side. Cultural sensitivity has emerged as a crucial skill for educators, for implementing effective teaching and learning process. Based on real experiences with foreign students, the article analyzes the challenges of practicing cultural awareness in multicultural classrooms, emphasizes the paramount importance of inclusivity and student engagement, highlights the role of supportive learning atmosphere and the necessity of intercultural understanding that leads to preparing students for success in this globalized educational environment. The given research promotes strategies to build engaging classrooms, fosters intercultural involvement and cross-cultural communication. The data obtained from direct observation, questionnaires and interviews underline the importance of establishing appropriate and involving environment where students feel appreciated and valued irrespective of their nationality.
