Academia Nationala de Muzica Gheorghe Dima (ROMANIA)
This research explores the development and implementation of a distance learning platform dedicated to university-level music education within the study programs of the National Academy of Music in Cluj, Romania. Its aim is both to evaluate the distance education system and to minimize the differences between face-to-face teaching methods and the growing demand for online music education courses. The study constitutes an empirical investigation that includes both quantitative and qualitative data, based on a survey conducted among students enrolled in distance learning programs who use a dedicated platform for their courses.

Alongside the analysis of platform usage data and evaluation of the teaching materials used by students, teachers were interviewed regarding the effectiveness of learning outcomes achieved by the students, as well as their needs and aspirations for future course design. The results revealed a high level of student satisfaction with the education system in which they are enrolled, the usefulness of theoretical materials, and the fact that the platform significantly improves access to music education by offering flexible learning opportunities to a wide range of students. This aspect was also emphasized by the instructors, who expressed the need for the development of interactive digital applications within virtual environments to enhance student motivation and engagement. The survey results are valuable for decision-makers in program organization and for developers of online educational tools, offering insights into the needs and expectations of students enrolled in such programs. The research contributes to the current discourse on the future of music education in the digital age, highlighting both the potential and the limitations of distance learning in this field.
