Youth and adolescence are considered to be especially important times to address sexuality issues because they are stages of physical, emotional, and psychological development during which decisions on the establishment of relationships and sexual debut are made. In developing nations, schools are ideal settings for teaching young people about sexuality and healthy relationships since they often serve as captive audiences for many young people before they engage in sexual conduct.
