The education and professional training of paramedics cannot be fully ensured through conventional educational approaches and standardized pedagogical methods. The dynamic nature of their professional practice, determined by the specific conditions of their occupation, necessitates the implementation of progressive educational strategies that reflect the current challenges of healthcare, technological innovation, and broader societal transformations.
Based on the conducted research, the authors of the article identify key characteristics that must be integrated into the educational and training processes of paramedics. Among the most significant are the ability to make effective decisions under conditions of informational uncertainty, the capacity to cope with high levels of physical and psychological stress, a strong emphasis on the development of practical skills and technological competencies, as well as proficiency in operating specialized medical devices and equipment.
Through the application of analytical and comparative methods, the authors perform a cross-national comparison of paramedic education systems, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, as well as the application potential of individual educational tools. At the same time, they define emergent trends in education, including the integration of artificial intelligence and decision-support systems in prehospital diagnostics, the use of mobile information technologies for clinical data collection and effective communication with dispatch centres and healthcare facilities, as well as the implementation of innovative forms of training in the contexts of humanitarian medicine, military healthcare, and crisis paramedicine.
