Virtual mobility is an educational option, implemented in virtual environments supported by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), which includes borderless collaboration for those who, for economic or personal reasons, cannot undertake in-person academic stays at foreign educational institutions. International virtual mobility facilitates the participation of students and faculty in international academic experiences without the need for physical travel. The objective of this article focuses on proposing an international virtual mobility management model that promotes practices and experiences under this educational option in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). This model is based on an analysis of the international virtual mobility management processes at the University of Guadalajara (UDG). These processes include: virtual mobility management structure, virtual mobility strategic guidelines, institutional agreements, course offerings, quotas and schedules, student selection, academic certification, recognition of home HEIs, and equivalencies. It also seeks to clarify the concept of virtual mobility and what this educational option entails in the international and global context.

Methodology:
The study uses a descriptive-interpretative method with a qualitative approach and is supported by two data collection techniques: documentary research and interviews. This methodology allows for an in-depth understanding of the international virtual mobility management processes at the UDG. The study is carried out in four stages:
(1) documentary research of the current regulations at the UDG on international virtual mobility;
(2) semi-structured interviews with internationalization managers from the General Coordination of Cooperation and Internationalization (CGCI); and
(3) semi-structured interviews with coordinators of graduate programs and educational programs with international virtual mobility experiences. The informants were selected through purposive sampling, ensuring their specialized knowledge of the topic.

Results:
This research allows us to describe and analyze the international virtual mobility management processes at the UDG, providing input for the construction and proposal of a management model that promotes its potential and relevance in the global context.
