Intercultural competence (IC) is a highly relevant managerial skill which has to be developed and improved continuously. Tertiary education should prepare students for the practice, therefore, IC is part of managerial majors´ curricula. At the Faculty of Management and Business, University of Prešov, IC is developed also as a part of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses. Teaching foreign students can also offer interesting insight for the teacher. The purpose of the study is to describe the selected IC factors and relationships of the foreign students of management at the Faculty of Management and Business, University of Prešov. It can serve as a case study as it aims at improving the functioning of the studied subject matter within tertiary education of management majors´ students. The questionnaire survey of three questions was conducted among the group of eleven foreign students enrolled in the courses of ESP in the academic year of 2024/2025. Quantitative statistical analysis of the questionnaire data was complemented by the qualitative analysis of a final open question and final essays describing the cultural experience in Slovakia. The case study has the potential to generate relevant findings applicable also beyond the individual case.
