EVALUATING THE IMPACT OF NEXTGENERATIONEU-FUNDED CYBERSECURITY AND DATA ECONOMY TRAININGS BY TECHCLASS
F. Eftekhari
TechClass Ltd (FINLAND)
This paper evaluates the design, implementation, and impact of cybersecurity and data economy trainings delivered by TechClass under the NextGenerationEU and SECLE-funded initiative, aligned with the broader objectives of the European Union’s NextGenerationEU recovery plan. The initiative aimed to equip Finnish professionals in the targeted groups with essential digital competencies to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and enable participation in the data-driven economy.

The study focuses on the content development methodology, modular learning design, and participant-centered approach taken by TechClass. A mixed-methods evaluation was conducted, incorporating quantitative data from the participants and qualitative feedback gathered through post-training surveys and interactions. Results indicate high levels of learner satisfaction, improved digital literacy, and strong perceived relevance of the topics to professional life.

Key findings suggest that modular and flexible content delivery, combined with real-world scenarios and localized case studies, significantly enhances learner engagement and knowledge retention. The paper also explores challenges related to diverse learner backgrounds, varying levels of digital readiness, and how tailored instructional design can mitigate these barriers. Recommendations are provided for scaling similar training programs across Europe to support the green and digital transitions.
