Environmental sustainability has become a priority for international civil aviation, driving the adoption of regulations such as CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) and ICAO's Annex 16, which govern greenhouse gas emissions produced by air operations. The integration of these frameworks into the academic training of aeronautical engineers is essential to ensure a comprehensive and responsible approach to the sector's environmental challenges.

With the aim of fostering awareness of these regulatory frameworks, an activity was carried out with students of the Master’s in Aeronautical Engineering, based on a participatory methodology. Sessions were organized for the review of specialized literature, analysis of technical manuals, and consultation of official ICAO websites. These spaces were complemented by oral presentations delivered by the students, followed by collaborative discussions focused on deepening the content and its practical implications.

Throughout the process, students were able to identify the essential components of CORSIA and Annex 16, as well as reflect on their application within the operational and technological context of aviation. Group interactions encouraged the development of technical and ethical arguments around sustainability, enriching the academic exchange.

Such activities allow for the transversal integration of international regulations into professional training, strengthening the commitment of future engineers to a more responsible aviation industry aligned with global emission reduction goals.
