Climate change and environmental degradation represent a fundamental challenge for Europe and the global community. The European Green Deal sets an ambitious goal to transform the EU into a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy with net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The GREENPOL project directly reflects the set priorities through the development of innovative online courses based on scientific research and interdisciplinary cooperation. A key aspect of the project is the participatory research methodology, which enables the active involvement of students in the creation of educational content and the transfer of the latest scientific knowledge into the pedagogical process in three main areas - European policies in the context of the principles of the European Green Deal, food security with regard to impacts of the climate changes, and energy efficiency, diversification and renewable energy sources. The expected result is the creation of educational tools that will contribute to the effective transfer of theoretical concepts into applied practice in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Keywords: EU Interdisciplinary Studies, trends in teaching, European Green Deal, Energy policy, renewable energy resources, human and animal health.
