IMPLEMENTING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) IN EDUCATION: PERCEPTION OF USAGE OF AI IN AN EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT AT HEI

Nowadays we can perceive an increase of implementation and usage of modern technologies into the educational environment. Regardless of whether we are aware of AI's powerful influence or not, it has become already an element of our daily lives and it has been changing our approaches in many areas and education is one of the most affected sectors in this sense. AI has been transforming educational processes and approaches of teachers and as well students.

In this paper, the focus was on educators' and students' perceptions of AI applications in the educational process at higher educational institutions. In our study we try to explore the adoption and usage of AI tools by educators in academic settings, with a focus on how these technologies support or inhibit their preparation of teaching materials, enable personalized learning, and enhance student feedback. In our case study we examine both the benefits and challenges associated with AI adoption in education among teachers and students, including the factors that influence their willingness to integrate AI into their teaching/learning practices.
