Esports, or competitive video gaming, has emerged as a significant cultural and educational phenomenon, influencing cognitive, psychological, and social development. This paper explores the psychopedagogical aspects of esports, focusing on motivation, learning strategies, cognitive skills, and the potential risks and benefits associated with structured esports participation. Research suggests that esports can enhance critical thinking, decision-making, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, aligning with contemporary educational objectives. Furthermore, esports participation has been linked to increased engagement in learning and the development of psychological resilience. However, challenges such as excessive gaming, psychological distress, and physical health concerns must be addressed through structured pedagogical approaches. This study synthesizes existing literature on the intersection of esports and psychopedagogy, highlighting both its educational potential and the necessity for responsible gaming practices. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for educators, policymakers, and industry professionals aiming to integrate esports into educational frameworks while mitigating associated risks.
