Introduction:
In medical education, structured clinical practice that facilitates direct interaction with patients is essential. Such experiences not only help students achieve critical learning objectives but also foster professional development, empathy, critical thinking, leadership, and interpersonal skills. However, the time allocated for clinical learning and direct patient contact remains insufficient.

Objective:
This project aims to expand the limited clinical practice hours and enhance the acquisition of practical skills essential for real-world clinical scenarios in Endocrinology and Nutrition. To achieve this, we propose a system of virtual video-streaming sessions designed to reinforce students' hands-on competencies.

Methodology:
The primary goal of this pilot program is to improve clinical skills in the examination and management of patients with diabetes. The specific learning objectives include:
1. Conducting a vascular examination of the lower limbs using the ankle-brachial index;
2. Performing an echo-Doppler assessment of the carotid arteries;
3. Evaluating autonomic neuropathy; and
4. Comparing aerobic exercise and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) in diabetes management.

The program consists of four 10-minute video-streaming sessions, each featuring real patient consultations from the Endocrinology Outpatient Clinic. These sessions include explanatory annotations highlighting key clinical aspects. The videos will be available asynchronously on the Virtual Classroom of the University of Valencia for a minimum of one month.

Participation is limited to students from Group AI (English) of the Endocrinology and Nutrition II course in the fifth year of the Medicine Degree Program at the University of Valencia. Optional online debriefing sessions will be offered upon request to facilitate discussions about the video content. To assess the program’s effectiveness, students will complete a survey comprising 18 Likert-scale questions and two open-ended questions evaluating the quality and impact of the materials, and other faculty teachers will be asked for.

Project Summary and Applicability:
This innovative teaching project builds upon a previously approved initiative currently undergoing implementation and evaluation. Following the positive reception of the initial edition, this new approach seeks to further enhance students' clinical competencies in Endocrinology and Nutrition. As with the previous edition, this pilot project will be tested with a single group of students during their clinical rotations. If successful, it may be expanded in the future to include additional student groups and other University-affiliated Endocrinology departments.
