The article deals with the experiences with the use of the game-based learning concept in teaching at the Faculty of Management and Economics of the Tomas Bata University in Zlín. In addition to practical knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office software, students of the course Information Technologies for Economists also gain theoretical knowledge, which they still solve in the form of seminar projects. To increase motivation to study and learn this subject faster, a computer game created at the Tomas Bata University in Zlín was used, which was originally created for a study program at the Faculty of Applied Informatics and subsequently modified for use at the Faculty of Management and Economics. The students tried the game and then answered several questions about this game and the concept of game-based learning. The article then describes these experiences as well as the modified version of the game. The main parts of the article consist of a theoretical part, a description of a modified version of the game for studying and verifying knowledge in the field of information technology for economists, its verification by students, and a survey of satisfaction with this method in the form of a questionnaire and its evaluation.
