ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, is a large language model that utilizes advanced natural language processing techniques. Key elements include its transformer-based architecture, which allows for contextual understanding and generation of human-like text. The model is trained on vast amounts of data, enabling it to perform a wide range of language tasks. ChatGPT allows you to adapt to new tasks with minimal explicit instructions.

ChatGPT is a powerful tool for various applications, from content creation to problem-solving. However, it's important to note that ChatGPT can sometimes produce inaccurate or biased information, highlighting the need for critical evaluation of its outputs.

This study explores the use of ChatGPT in developing scientific reports for university courses. The research compares AI-assisted report writing to traditional methods relying on scientific sources. The study was carried out with students in the final year of the university degree in Food Science and Technology.

The research identifies errors and advantages of using AI in education, as well as opportunities for improving results by focusing on key aspects such as question reformulation and appropriate bibliography insertion.

Findings suggest that students consider ChatGPT a useful tool for developing scientific reports, potentially beneficial for their future professional lives. The study concludes that understanding the tool's functionality is crucial, emphasizing the importance of properly formulating questions to maximize its effectiveness in academic and professional contexts.
