The metaverse, an evolving digital realm combining virtual and augmented reality, has emerged as a transformative tool for various fields, including healthcare, education, training and social interaction. This paper explores how the metaverse can enhance the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum by providing safe and interactive environments tailored to their unique needs. Through a review of existing technological interventions and emerging applications, this study highlights the potential benefits and challenges of leveraging the metaverse to support autistic individuals. This research examines how the metaverse can bridge gaps in accessibility, learning, and social inclusion for autistic individuals, while also identifying ethical considerations and future potential in social communication, skill development, and daily life activities. The continued integration of assistive technologies, AI-driven personal coaching, and cross-sector collaboration will be essential in realizing the full potential of the metaverse as a tool for autism support and empowerment.
