This study aims to explore the impact of Learning Management Systems (LMS) on managers’ financial literacy and their proficiency to perform budgeting and planning functions in a company. A structured research has been conducted to determine the learning outcomes of the managers who have been exposed to LMS modules such as exercises and quizzes.

The findings show that the managers who were actively engaged in the LMS-based training were more likely to have a better understanding of the financial principles and perform better in budgeting and planning. It also found out that the accuracy of planning increased for those who engaged in exercises and assessments.
Furthermore, the managers indicated that they felt more self-confident in their financial decisions, which shows that LMS helps to acquire not only certain skills but also to build self-confidence in using them.

The study also shows how LMS helps to organize the process of learning so that managers can gradually develop financial skills in the course of working with interactive modules and assessments. The engagement-driven design of the LMS helps to reinforce the learning and its application, thus making the formal processes more engaging and easy to action.

The research contributes to the existing literature on digital learning tools in management education by providing empirical evidence of the effectiveness of LMS in improving managers´ financial literacy and their compliance with formal processes. In the current environment of increasing complexity, the use of LMS in training programs can be a cost-effective and easy way to develop managerial competencies.

Future research may extend to the long-term impacts of LMS training on managerial performance and potential transferability across industries. Also, the investigation of LMS design features that may enhance learning effectiveness may be useful to improve the current and future digital training programs to ensure their effectiveness and relevance to the dynamic business environment.

This study underlines the relevance of LMS in managerial education and promotes its increased adoption in corporate training.
