In an increasingly digitalized world, education in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has become a fundamental pillar for the professional development of computer engineers. The rapid advancement of technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and next-generation networks has led to a growing demand for highly qualified professionals, not only with strong theoretical knowledge but also with practical skills aligned with industry needs.

In this context, the Huawei ICT Academy stands out as a key educational initiative that enhances the curriculum of the Computer Engineering Degree, offering more than 3,000 courses taught by national and international experts, official certifications, practical training, and access to cutting-edge technologies. At the University of Almería (UAL), the Huawei ICT Academy has been integrated into the Computer Engineering Degree, incorporating certifications and advanced training in subjects such as Computer Networks Fundamentals, Data Transmission, and Network and System Administration. Additionally, it has been implemented in the Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering Degree, specifically in the Computer Networks course.

This paper analyzes the impact of the Huawei ICT Academy on the training of future computer engineers, with a special focus on its integration into the 2024/25 academic year. It examines how the incorporation of advanced resources in networking, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing enhances students' learning experiences and bridges the gap between academia and industry. Furthermore, it explores the pedagogical methodologies used, the benefits of industry-recognized certifications, and their influence on students' employability.

Through this case study, the effectiveness of the Huawei ICT Academy in developing technical skills, fostering innovation, and preparing students for an ever-evolving job market is evaluated. Finally, proposals are presented to optimize and expand the program, ensuring its sustainability and adaptability to the challenges of the digital future.
