The development of a multimedia e-book on the topic of estimation, designed for statistical inference courses in the Accounting and Business Administration undergraduate programs, aims to help students easily understand the essential concepts and methodologies needed to perform accurate estimations tailored to specific cases.
This educational resource introduces students to the field of statistical inference, which focuses on generating generalizations about a population based on the analysis of a sample. The content on estimation is structured around a didactic approach that combines a question-and-answer format with specific examples to enhance the understanding of procedures. Organized into ten chapters, the material includes an analysis of the bootstrap distribution, a non-parametric method that does not require assumptions about the population from which the sample is drawn. This approach is particularly useful as a statistical alternative in cases where the assumptions necessary for applying traditional models, such as normality, are not met.
This e-book or multimedia material provides students with an immersive full-screen experience, incorporating elements such as galleries, videos, interactive diagrams, and mathematical expressions. This format brings the content to life in ways that a printed publication cannot achieve. Students will be able to navigate the book effortlessly using simple touch gestures on the screen.
In summary, the multimedia content of this e-book will provide significant advantages in explaining and understanding concepts. Its interactive nature takes full advantage of internet-based tools, including advanced calculators and related applications. Moreover, the flexibility of the digital format allows for future updates where content can be selected, added, or modified according to educational needs.
