The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between communication skills and performance in school management of the directors of two preschool schools in Zone 01 of the Gustavo A. Madero (GAM), alcaldia, in Mexico City, Mexico, during the academic period 2023-2025. This research is particularly relevant, for effective communication, it is essential at the preschool level to coordinate the various actors in a preschool, such as staff, teachers, parents, and the community in general, thus solving decision-making and conflict resolution. However, one of the main challenges identified is the lack of understanding of how the communication skills of managers influence their management.

To address the problem of lack of knowledge about the relationship between the communication skills of managers and their school management performance, a quantitative descriptive-comparative approach was used, complemented by a qualitative analysis based on interviews with supervisors of school zone number 1. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires applied to teachers and directors, which allowed identifying correlations between communication skills and management results.

The findings revealed that as principals strengthened their communication skills, school management also improved, favoring collaboration, teacher participation and conflict resolution. Statistical analysis confirmed a significant relationship between variables, validating the research hypothesis called "better communication skills, better school management." In conclusion, the study determined that skills such as active listening, assertive communication and negotiation play a crucial role in effective educational leadership.
