Artificial intelligence and digital technologies are transforming education and daily life, particularly in essential lifestyle domains such as apparel, food, and housing. These areas, while fundamental, have traditionally posed challenges for comprehensive learning due to their inherent complexity. With the growing global interest in K-Lifestyle, this study proposes a general education curriculum that integrates AI and digital platforms to offer hands-on and practical learning experiences. By combining the cultural richness of Korean traditions with cutting-edge AI innovations, this curriculum enables students to engage deeply with these lifestyle components while adapting to the demands of a rapidly evolving digital world.

The curriculum focuses on three interconnected lifestyle domains—apparel, food, and housing—and uses AI-driven tools to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. It aims to explore how AI technologies can enhance learning, identify factors that influence student engagement and satisfaction, and develop methodologies to integrate practical applications into theoretical frameworks. To inform its design, surveys were conducted with junior and senior university students, targeting their experiences and preferences in AI-enhanced education. Specific areas of inquiry included the role of AI-based fashion recommendation systems in personalized styling, the impact of AI-driven food platforms on dietary awareness and sustainable consumption, and the effectiveness of smart home technologies in teaching energy efficiency and modern living concepts. Data collected from these surveys were analyzed through statistical and text-mining methods to identify trends and actionable insights.

Expert consultations further enriched the study by providing recommendations on AI platforms suited for practical education. Suggestions included virtual fitting tools for apparel, predictive analytics for food sustainability, and IoT-enabled smart home systems. These insights informed the selection and integration of technologies that would maximize the curriculum's educational impact. The results demonstrate the transformative potential of AI in education. Students reported enhanced understanding and retention when interacting with AI tools, increased engagement compared to traditional methods, and greater awareness of sustainability through AI-driven food platforms. Moreover, the use of AI technologies simplified complex concepts, making them more accessible and applicable to real-world scenarios.

The proposed curriculum is expected to deliver significant educational benefits. It offers students practical skills by enabling direct interaction with AI tools, fosters creativity and innovative problem-solving through an interdisciplinary approach, and provides scalable and flexible learning opportunities that can accommodate large groups without compromising quality.

This initiative demonstrates how AI and digital platforms can revolutionize general education by integrating cultural depth with technological innovation. By offering students hands-on, practical applications of lifestyle concepts, the curriculum bridges traditional knowledge and modern advancements, creating a transformative educational experience. It not only enhances student learning but also sets a precedent for the role of AI in shaping the future of education.
