LEADERSHIP STRATEGIES AND ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT IN SCHOOLS: ADDRESSING ADOLESCENT ANXIETY IN AN ERA OF GROWING CHALLENGES

Our study investigates the critical role of leadership strategies and organizational management in addressing adolescent anxiety, a phenomenon of increasing prevalence with significant implications for educational institutions. This article employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data collection to explore how school leadership and management can adapt structures and practices to support students effectively. A comprehensive questionnaire was administered to educators to evaluate the implementation of leadership strategies in addressing student anxiety, and to students to assess the impact of anxiety on their academic performance and social behaviors. The research also examined the systemic changes needed within schools to better manage this growing challenge.
A total of 212 participants, including educators, school leaders, and students, were surveyed in 2024. Statistical analysis was conducted to identify patterns in the relationship between school leadership practices and student well-being, focusing on the role of strategic planning, teacher training, and resource allocation.
The main findings of the research include:
- The significant impact of proactive leadership in reducing student anxiety through supportive policies, inclusive practices, and teacher training;
- The importance of managerial approaches in creating a school culture that prioritizes mental health, resilience, and emotional well-being;
- A positive correlation between structured leadership interventions and improvements in student engagement and academic outcomes;

- The study highlights the need for robust leadership and management frameworks in schools to effectively address adolescent anxiety.

Furthermore, the research emphasizes the growing importance of training leaders to navigate the complexities of adolescent mental health, ensuring a sustainable and supportive educational ecosystem.In an era where the pressures of modern life and academic demands are increasingly contributing to anxiety among young people, the findings underscore the need for leadership that combines empathy with strategic vision. This article contributes to the ongoing conversation on fostering resilient educational environments, providing actionable insights into the intersection of leadership, management, and student mental health.
