Within the corporate strategy of the Universitat Politècnica de València of "approaching the environment", a series of practical workshops have been implemented in the Technical and Economic Management of Projects (GTEPT) subject of the first course of the Master in Telecommunications Engineering (MUIT). The objective has been to address the study, through the introductory speech of external professionals (currently active in the project deployment business) and the subsequent interactive debate with the students, the critical and definitively decisive factors for the success and/or failure of the deployment of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) projects. In this case, firstly, the participation of a Principal Product Manager of a technological solution for business management has driven a session on the strategic aspect of projects management; secondly, a Project director with extensive experience has helped the students to learn the tactical and operational aspects of the deployment of ICT projects. As conclusion of this initiative, and due to the participation of renowned external speakers, students have expressed their exceptional acceptance of this learning format, as well as a rapid and effective acquisition of skills on ICT projects management.
