This presentation introduces the creation and development of the university podcast titled "Los Umbrales del Saber" ("The Thresholds of Knowledge"), designed to explore and disseminate academic work such as Final Degree Projects (TFG), Master's Theses (TFM), and doctoral dissertations. This educational podcast is a teaching innovation developed by faculty from the Department of Architectural Constructions at the Universitat Politècnica de València, aimed at supporting the learning process in higher education. The project primarily focuses on Final Degree Projects (TFG), with the goal of serving as a pedagogical tool for students navigating this pivotal stage in their academic journey.
Throughout its first season, the podcast features interviews and conversations with students who have recently completed their TFG. These testimonies provide valuable insights into the planning, research, writing, and defense processes, addressing both challenges and successful strategies. By sharing real-life experiences, the podcast facilitates an understanding of the TFG process from a student’s perspective, fostering peer learning and critical reflection.
This multimedia resource aligns with current trends in integrating digital technologies into teaching, enriching the educational ecosystem and promoting student autonomy. Additionally, it strengthens the academic community by creating a space for dialogue and mutual support between students and faculty. With plans to expand its scope in future seasons to include Master’s Theses (TFM) and doctoral dissertations, the podcast aspires to become a comprehensive platform that contributes to the continuous improvement of teaching practices and the academic success of students.
