The Think Twice project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, is dedicated to advancing media and digital literacy in education, targeting educators, learners, and policymakers to address the challenges of misinformation in the digital era. Includes European frameworks, such as DigCompEdu and UNESCO guidelines, to embed critical digital competences into education systems.

The Think Twice Modular Workshop Manual, an innovative resource designed to empower educators to effectively integrate digital and media literacy into their teaching practices, was built on the DigCompEdu Framework's six competency areas and UNESCO’s "Think Critically, Click Wisely!" curriculum, offering practical, modular solutions to critical educational challenges in the digital era. It includes 12 modular workshop concepts tailored to the diverse needs of educators and teachers. Each workshop is structured into accessible units, including detailed lesson plans, case studies, activity sheets, and flexible adaptations to accommodate varying educational contexts. These modules ensure that participants can engage deeply with key concepts while managing their time constraints effectively, begin specifically designed to be scalable, allowing for widespread application in professional development initiatives across Europe.

The Manual was piloted across partner countries (Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Romania, Greece, France and Irland) with over 180 participants from educators working in primary or secondary school, educators working with adults, and university students in the educational sector. The positive feedback underlines its relevance, usability, and potential to enhance digital and media literacy education since this resource addresses vital gaps in equipping educators with the skills to combat misinformation, foster critical thinking, and empower students to navigate an increasingly complex digital world.

This manual is a key result of the Think Twice project, underscoring its commitment to building a resilient, informed educational community throughout Europe.
