This contribution presents the outcomes of students´ projects developed during a hands-on workshop designed to prepare future educators with the practical skills needed to incorporate STEM education into natural science subjects. The workshop was structured to provide a step-by-step learning experience following the CCCTER method (choose, connect, create, try, evaluate, remade), beginning with the selection of relevant and engaging topics tailored to their teaching subjects. Students were then guided in creating detailed mind maps to visualize connections and relationships within their chosen topics. Building on this foundation, they developed interdisciplinary challenges and tasks that integrated science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in meaningful ways. The designing of challenges and tasks emphasized creativity and collaboration, encouraging students to think critically and design activities that promote active learning and problem-solving among future learners. Through this process, participants explored innovative methods to address real-world issues while aligning with educational standards and STEM principles. The presentation will showcase the diversity of ideas and proposals generated during the workshop, illustrating how future educators can inspire curiosity and cultivate STEM competencies in their teaching practice. We will also reflect on the challenges faced and lessons learned during the workshop, offering insights for implementing similar programs in educational contexts.
