Integrating creativity into Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education remains a challenge, yet it is essential for preparing students to solve complex scientific problems. Literary techniques, such as metaphor, storytelling, and descriptive writing, offer untapped potential to foster creative thinking in STEM contexts. By bridging skills between literature and STEM, these methods provide innovative pathways for enhancing students’ problem-solving abilities and understanding of scientific concepts.
This article explores how literary techniques, traditionally associated with artistic and linguistic creativity, can support the development of creative thinking in STEM.
