Spreading scientific and research culture is the mission of the Frascati Scienza Association, which has been organizing events for children and adults for many years. The association's main project is the European Researchers' Night (ERN), which it has been organizing for 20 years. From 2021, the ERN project signed by Frascati Scienza - under the name LEAF (heaL thE plAnet's Future) - has two principal themes: STEAM, an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics and the EU Green Deal topics, such as Farm to Fork, Biodiversity, Circular economy, Zero-pollution, toxic-free environments, Health & Wellbeing, Energy and resource-efficient buildings, secure energy, sustainable and smart mobility.

The aim of this paper is to show the impact achieved by Frascati Scienza and its partners network on the society/general public of these four years project and the lessons learnt to improve the quality for the next editions, both in terms of reached public and outreach activities organized. To this end, we will therefore show the results of the different actions designed to evaluate the impact of the project, including ex ante and ex post questionnaires, questionnaires for children, quizzes, and role-playing games. Data have been collected in more than 20 Italian cities during the LEAF project’s activities and the results are obtained through both a qualitative (dedicated events) and quantitative (more than 2500 questionnaires) analysis.

As requested by the EU Commission, the main aim of these events is to make science and research accessible and fun to everyone. So, involved researchers had to deal with non-scientist and/or not expert people in order to spread and generate a practical understanding of how to cope with climate change issues.

We are going to report about the activities organised for different targets (child, youngsters and adults) or tailored specifically for schools or for the general public.

As required by the EU commission, the impact assessment is a mandatory aspect of the project and a very useful tool to evaluate the proposed activities and the whole organisation.

The overall result is an increase in the awareness of the researcher's work relevance as well as the benefit for society and for the current and future Planet’s heals.
